The Story Of ShootheBull
To save us both time at the beginning of your first phone call, I thought I would take time out and explain the name.
So why ShootheBull?
Basically because it's memorable.
Many companies use an acronym or initials or the name of the founder. Boring...
But ShootheBull involves copywriting. If I can’t come up with an unforgettable name then what does that say about my writing?
But then the name needs to be appropriate not just catchy doesn't it?
Yes it does. So here goes...
Firstly ShootheBull has nothing to do with animal cruelty. I love animals. Particularly horses and cats, not necessarily in that order.
- Shoot the Bull is CB slang for 'talk'. To me writing is simply another way of talking to people. Surely that's what a website should do. Talk to people so that they want to listen.
- Our mission is to trash that 'load of bull' which plagues so many web pages. How many sites have you encountered which are too wordy, too long, too tedious? You just can't be bothered to plough through them. Life's too short. We cut to the chase. And the websites just aren't authentic. They use words such as 'magic, bargain, hurry up' or, my pet hate, 'amazing'. You just know they're not going to live up to the hype...
- Striking the bullseye. That's what we aim to do. Deliver gold every time. Yes, we can pun as well...
